I adore everything I do, and LOVE meeting new people all over the country. I've moved from California, to Missouri, and now to Virginia. Clients from the BEGINNING are still finding me. I ♥ all of you! Thank you for allowing me to thrive in a job I never tire of. You guys are the BEST!

New glasses for Sophie!

This is always an exciting time for my little Sophie. She went the the opthamologist last week, and yesterday we picked up her new glasses! She is in total control over which frames we buy, and this time she chose 2 different purple pairs. (anyone with a 4 year old understands why we always get 2 pairs, LOL!) So here she is, modeling her new specs. The pose was completely her idea, and it turned out fantastic.

Of course Alex couldn't be completely left out. She inherited the old frames, minus the lenses. :O)

I'm so happy to be back outdoors in the gorgeous natural light! We finally had a fence put around our back yard, and the girls are loving the freedom to run and play outside. Here are a few photos of my sweet little princesses on a 50 degree afternoon. Hopefully full blown spring will be here soon!

On Friday 28th January 2010 I joined a section of Flickr members in dedicating a day to Haiti. The idea was that everyone would wear a hat and take a photo of it. Our small group raised around $1,100 for Haiti that day.The photos in this book are some of those taken by the people of Flickr. We're hoping that the profits from this book will do a little something extra to help. All profits will go to Haiti. My photo is on page 23. :O) You can see the book here.

I did a Project 365 last year. I managed to take a photo every single day to keep myself inspired and creative while not in business. We were only in Kansas a VERY short time, so I took that time to be a full time Mommy and learn as much as I could about different lighting styles. I was the only person around most days to practice on, so these are some self portraits I created. I hope you enjoy them!

I'm not completely settled in, YET, but I'm on my way to opening the doors to new customers in Chesapeake County, Virginia! Website updates have been underway, the studio is practically finished, and business paperwork has been procrastinated long enough! I'm so excited to have a fresh start in such a beautiful location!

Sophie's Favorite Big Blue Bridge

This photo is for Sophie. When we were driving into Leavenworth for the first time last summer, she said "Look Momma, it's a beautiful big blue bridge!". Since then, every time we cross over it, she gets excited. Not sure why really, but these photos are for her. :)

Sophie has known her alphabet since she was just over a year old. She's been learning to WRITE the alphabet for the last year or so. TODAY she asked me how to spell Momma. I told her the letters, she wrote my name. (and drew a little smiley face) I'm so proud of her.
