Spring has arrived!

Since my business is on hold until the move, I thought I'd share some color from my current home. Enjoy!

Sophie's Favorite Big Blue Bridge

This photo is for Sophie. When we were driving into Leavenworth for the first time last summer, she said "Look Momma, it's a beautiful big blue bridge!". Since then, every time we cross over it, she gets excited. Not sure why really, but these photos are for her. :)

Today she did it!

Sophie has known her alphabet since she was just over a year old. She's been learning to WRITE the alphabet for the last year or so. TODAY she asked me how to spell Momma. I told her the letters, she wrote my name. (and drew a little smiley face) I'm so proud of her.

Thanks to all of you for making this chaotic year for my family, an excellent one for my business! It was difficult to leave my clients and friends in California, knowing I would have to start from scratch in a new town. I was blessed beyond my low expectations, and had an EXCELLENT year, and have met many new friends and clients here in the Leavenworth area. Merry Christmas to all of you! I look forward to another wonderful year in 2009.

A San Francisco Wedding

On my way to California!

I have the best clients and friends in the world! I'm leaving Friday morning to work with an EXCELLENT pair of photographers at a wedding in San Francisco. Not only will I be surrounded by friends, but they happen to be great teachers! I'm shooting this wedding with them to decide if I would ever want to add weddings to my own business. I would never let someone hire me without first experiencing the work and process first hand. Lucky me, the wedding is at a GORGEOUS location and I'll get tons of photos for my portfolio. I'll be sure to share a few here once I get back home.
I am also thankful and blessed that a few of my California clients are hiring me for sessions while I'm in town. I say clients, but I consider every one of them to be friends of mine. This is the best *job* I've ever had, and since it allows me to be a stay-at-home mom, I wouldn't change a thing.
